Boman – a company based in Murello, in the province of Cuneo – specializing in the design and construction of customized equipment and solutions for lifting and handling – has signed an agreement establishing a partnership with the non-profit association Paulownia Piemonte Nazionale. This organization is the first in Italy dedicated to environmental protection, research, development, and the promotion of Paulownia, a plant with countless resources and the highest CO2 absorption capacity in the world.
The partnership became a tangible reality in recent days with the planting of 50 Paulownia trees at the “Centro Cinofilo 4 Zampe” in Pancalieri, aimed at creating shaded areas for the animals. The number of Paulownia trees planted was not random: two trees for each year of Boman‘s activity! This is just the first initiative, to be followed by other projects in the future.
Enrico Bonaudi – president of Boman – explained the meaning of the initiative as follows: “This is truly an important and deeply satisfying moment, with a meaning far deeper than it seems. Planting these beautiful Paulownia trees is undoubtedly a simple and ancient gesture, yet within its simplicity lie important messages of sustainability and love for our territory—key signals we must pass on to future generations so they do not repeat our mistakes. We decided to join this initiative because it is, of course, a sustainable project that allows us to increase green spaces, and therefore oxygen production, for our region and our planet. But also because the Paulownia tree has very specific characteristics: it thrives in our climate, withstands scorching summers as well as freezing winters, reaches significant heights in a short time, has wonderful heart-shaped leaves, and in spring, its blossoms are stunning. At BOMAN, we see ourselves in this tree because of its ability to adapt and overcome challenging times. Every day, we work to the best of our ability, always putting our heart into what we do. Planting these trees, for us, means contributing something significant to the future of the land—the same land where we were born and that continues to give us so much.
