The company from Murello took part – on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 – at the Senate of the Republic in the conference “Scientists in Parliament: New Frontiers – Antiage, Nutraceuticals, Neurosciences, Environment” initiated by Senator Antonio Trevisi – Finance Committee.
The meeting was attended by Giancarlo Zema, President of GZDG; Piera Levi-Montalcini, President of the Levi-Montalcini Foundation; Marcello Merlino, President of Paulownia4Planet; Giada Genchi, Researcher at the University of Bari; Marco Sandri, Professor at the University of Padua; Antonio Ruggiero, Pediatric Oncologist at the Policlinico Gemelli Foundation IRCCS; Matteo Micucci, Professor and Researcher at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo; Ettore Novellino, Professor and Researcher at the Catholic University of Rome.
During the meeting, the Levi-Montalcini Foundation and Paulownia4Planet awarded Environmental and Scientific Merit Certificates to all the entrepreneurial entities involved in the creation of a Paulownia forest, the tree that absorbs the most CO2 in the world.
Among the entities receiving the certificate was Boman, which, starting from the first quarter of 2024, joined the project by planting 50 Paulownia trees at the Centro Cinofilo 4 Zampe in Pancalieri, with the aim of creating shaded areas for animals. The number of Paulownia trees planted was not random: two trees for each year of Boman’s activity, which celebrated its first 25 years of operation this year. This is the first initiative, and it will be followed by other projects in the future.
“It was truly an honour for us at Boman to take part in this meeting, in such a remarkable setting. It was an opportunity that highlighted many projects currently being implemented in our Region. We can only be proud of this, as the conference showcased values that are dear to us and are realized through our daily work,” said Enrico Bonaudi, President of Boman.
