Born in 1999 from the entrepreneurial initiative of Silvio Bonaudi, founder and sole administrator, for some years joined by his children Enrico and Clara, who have become part of the company, thus contributing to generational continuity, Boman is a reality that works at a global level in the field of construction of lifting structures, specialized in development and realization of crane and mobile cranes components; activity that today represents its core business.

Boman is specialized in the production and welding of structures made of high-strength steel, laminated or quenched thermo-mechanical steel, with a yield strength up to 1100 Mpa. Welded materials such as S355J2, S690Ql, S700MC, S890Ql, S960QL, S110QL and welding processes 135-MAG, 111-MMW, 121-SAW are used for the metallic high-strength structures with complex technical solutions.

In particular Boman is highly qualified for the production of Megaform booms (S960QL), chassis for all-terrain and off-road mobile cranes (S960QL, S1110QL) and towers (S960QL), as well as small and large dimensions Tower Cranes components.

Following a rigorous strategic plan, Boman also addressed itself toward the design of special machinery, that is manipulators, positioners and equipment suitable for the assembling, handling and welding of small and large dimensions components, to which other equipment can be flanked, which are conceived to satisfy the competitiveness needs and guarantee the product quality.

Boman continuous evolution has led it to the launch of new products entirely designed and built by it.

The experience reached in this branch, the careful selection and use of certificated raw material, as well as the added value given by its personnel are the foundations on which the growth and company success have always rested.

Quality

From realization of special machinery to the creation of high-strength metallic structures of which we deal, they provide the realization of components with increasingly complex technical solutions.

The processing and weldability of high-strength steels require special qualifications and procedures. Therefore, it is our prerogative to carry out investments aimed at motivating and training the personnel following a specific development plan of their professional skills, to ensure that the needs of competitiveness are met, but above all to better guarantee quality and the possibility of continuous improvement.

Factors of great importance for Boman are the certifications that it has to qualify its activity, such as EN ISO 9001 (quality management system), EN ISO 3834-2 (welding processes management system), UNI EN 1090-1, UNI EN 1090-2 (CE labelling for steel and aluminum structural components).

Boman has also specialized personnel with CSWIP certification (Certified welding inspector), welding personnel with qualification according to standard EN ISO 9606-1, qualified personnel for non-destructive testing with certification PND EN ISO 97 (VT 2° level visual test, UT 2° level ultrasonic test, MP 2° level magnetooptical test and PT liquid penetrant test).

Design

We design and construct machinery and equipment suitable for the assembling, handling and welding of small and large dimensions components.

We use 3D software “PTC Creo Elements” able to guarantee a rapid development of the product, ensuring efficiency in the engineering phase.

The experience in mechanical design, integrated with hydraulic and electronic systems, allows to create complete machinery and equipment, beginning from the engineering development to the activation of the system.

Production

The production process is a strong point of the highly verticalized company, whose development is largely carried out internally, through the different production phases.

In a production area of over 9000 square meters indoor and equipped with the most efficient carpentry technologies, mechanical processing, handling and finishing.
